Delicious Ambiguity Is 2 & an update

Hello friends,

Just stopping in today to say THANK YOU for your continued support. I started this blog two years ago and never in my wildest dreams did I think that it would grow as big as it has! Thank you for stopping by and reading, leaving wonderful comments, voting for my blog on popular sites and sharing it with friends. Your support means the world to me and I am so grateful and honored!

If you've been following me since the beginning or during MDAs first year you would have noticed that my posts have become sparse and that I never share anything personal on here anymore.  I took a break needing to go inward and needing some privacy to deal with all of the curve balls that life has been throwing at me these days. But I also choose to not write about my personal life because I wasn't sure how YOU, the readers of MDA, would respond.

I continue to find huge comfort and relief in others bloggers writing by knowing someone else had been through something similar and therefore removing the loneliness and frustration I've often felt as a parent and as a woman. Some posts have opened my eyes to things I didn't previously understand and have changed the way I think. Taking a break has helped me to understand that as long as I'm not going out there with the intention of hurting or offending there's nothing wrong with expressing an opinion AND that it's actually necessary where blogging is concerned.

I wish there was more time in the day and that I could say with great certainty that you will be seeing a lot more posts around here. However, spending quality time with my son and taking time for myself are still my greatest priorities and will continue to come first. I can, however, promise you, quality posts written from the heart that at times will be messy and convoluted like life. My heart is BURSTING at the seams with stories- about parenting, living gluten free, postpartum depression, abusive relationships, single parenting, weight loss and most recently my sons journey in diagnoses with what I believe to be Sensory Processing Disorder. Did you get all that?!

Seriously, I AM BURSTING with things I need to share and I hope that, you, my readers will respond positively. I also hope to hear your stories and feature some of them on here too. Sharing is a source of great healing and in doing so I hope that together can create awareness, inspire others and that ultimately this blog will be better for it.

Thoughts?

Weekly Blogging Schedule-Some New Features

Six months ago I started this blog because I wanted to:
* Share resources and creative ideas for educating our children
* Share my stories and the tips I've learned through my journey of motherhood
* Create a supportive and encouraging environment for moms and women
* Network and meet amazing women who share experiences
* Share free resources that I find and think everyone should know about
* Have fun

After much contemplation I have decided to create a new blogging schedule that I feel encompasses my vision of this blog better, will be better organized and hopefully more enjoyable for my readers. Although I will try my best, I cannot guarantee that I will have a post for you everyday. My family does come first and sometimes I just don't have the time to put towards my blog as I would like. That being said I will try my best to share some delicious ambiguity with you on a daily basis.

Here is the new line up:

I will share stories of parenting and some of my random thoughts of being a stay at home mom. I will also feature commenters and new followers of my blog.

Link-up party for crafts, activities, educational resources and recipes for toddlers.

Just as it says- I will share random things that I am loving every week!

Parenting and domestic tips that I think are useful for every stay at home mom/ domestic diva.

Do you have a tip that you'd like me to share? Please submit it HERE.

I will feature printable freebies of various topics, awesome DIY projects, giveaways and other blogs that I enjoy.

Do you have a printable freebie that you would like me feature? Are you interested in sponsoring a giveaway? Would you like to do a blog swap and be the featured Friday blogger? Please contact me HERE.

I started this blog because I wanted to share my insights on motherhood and support other moms who struggle just as I do. Blogging has been wonderful but I want to get to know my readers better and make my website more personal.

Every Saturday I will be posting questions submitted by my readers or myself about being a mom, raising and educating our children, keeping a home and keeping our sanity! You can contribute by submitting a question HERE or stop by on Saturdays and leave a comment with your two cents worth.

I will be posting a "Tot School" post with the montessori activities I have made or have been doing with my son. Once a month I will post a specific theme (ie: Colours) link-up party on educational resources for early childhood children. It is my hope that we can create a one-stop-shop by theme here for printable resources and creative ideas that are useful in educating our toddlers and preschoolers.

I am looking forward to these new features and I hope that with them we can get to know each other better, support one another, learn a new thing or two and have fun doing it!

An Award And A Little About Me

I recently received The Versatile Blogger Award from Emily at Nap-Time Creations. I am so honored. Thank you, Emily!
One of the requrements of winning this award is to share seven things about yourself. I’m sure all of you that follow me week to week want to know a little bit about the crazy lady behind Delicious Ambiguity, right? So here’s some things about myself that I think are interesting:

1. I have a tattoo on my lower back that I got for my twenty-fifth birthday. I regret it now because I didn't do enough research and got it done at a shaddy place on a beach in Thailand. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it. The douche who did it didn't center it on my back and I've had some Thai friends tell me that the spelling is wrong. Some say it is fine so who really knows, right?

The "sun" shape is suppose to symbolize the waves of energy from my meditation practice. The writing in the middle is Thai and says “chebit” which means “life” or “live”.

2. I only like sports that have physical contact! Hockey, Rugby and Muay Thai Kickboxing are my favorite. I’m really not a violent person though!

3. I used to practice meditation when I lived in Seoul, South Korea. Suseonjae is an organization for practicing Korean Buddhist Meditation. I loved it and I miss it a lot. Actually, I was pretty hardcore. At one point I woke up at five in the morning and did one thousand buddhist bows. It was exhilarating!

4.  I speak a bit of Thai and a bit of Korean from living in South Korea and Thailand. I wish I spoke French (since I am Canadian) and Japanese (because my partner is Japanese and we want our son to be bilingual). Unfortunately, I really suck at languages and as I learn a new one (ever so slowly) I forget the others!

5. I currently live in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia down the street from Macquarie University. Macquarie University is where The Wiggles went to University.

6. I cry at sappy movies and TV shows. I laugh at scary movies even though I’m scared stupid. It’s an annoying habit but that’s how I roll.

7. When I "grow-up" (a.k.a when the kids are bigger and there is money for me to pursue my dreams) I’d like to be a Naturopath. I’d also like to start my own business and open an asian style sauna, teahouse and wellness center in the mountains near my hometown. I wish I could do it all!

In the meantime, I am working towards becoming a published author. I would like to write articles for magazines, publish some of my “mommy blogging” into a book and write a children’s book based on my son. I really have no idea how to go about this so any advice you can shed on helping me achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

So there you have it, seven interesting things about me that you didn’t know!

Time to get onto some business. I pass this award along to the following fifteen bloggers who I think are great (in no particular order):

If you received this award:
1. Thank the person who gave you this award.
2. Share seven things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to fifteen bloggers you have recently discovered and think are great (in no particular order).
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me because I had a lot of fun sharing!  If you want to know something else please leave a comment and I’ll answer it in an upcoming post.
