Healthy Valentine Snack Recipes For Kids

I've never been a big fan of overloading kids with junk food on holidays and at parties. Now that I've got a busy toddler at home with food allergies (he's gluten intolerant) I dread parties and holidays because of the food! I don't want my son to feel like he's missing out, I cannot afford the gluten free snack food all the time and at the end of the day I just really want to make sure I'm feeding him well while I still have a say in it.

These awesome Valentines day recipes are creative, fun, healthy and sure to be a hit with any child or adult:

Pepper Hearts Snack from Gourmet Mom On The Go

Healthy Hearts from Family Fun

Mini Heart Pizzas from Parents Connect

Valentine Popcorn Mix from Kids Cooking

Pink Hot Chocolate from Barbara Beery Kids Cooking

Apple Chips And Dip from Cooking With My Kid

Heart Tarts from Mostly Food And Crafts

Red Grape Cups from Home Made Simple

Stuffed Strawberries from The Naptime Chef

Meringue Clouds from Preschool Rock

Red Beet And White Bean Hummus from Weelicious

Dessert Nachos from Family Fun

Gluten Free Strawberry Heart Crispy Bars from About.com

Cupid Cups from Smarter

Aren't these great? I cannot wait to whip some up for my son this week and at the many Valentines parties to come in our future!

  3. Thank-you so much for all of the fabulous healthy Valentines treats. I'm planning a preschool party and it is so easy to get carried away with all of the sugary goodies out there! These are some great alternatives!

  4. These are SUCH cute ideas! I posted 2 Valentine's snack ideas today on my blog-one a fruit cup, and the other a snack mix (not quite as healthy).
