Toddler Busy Bag Month 4

I've been using busy bags with my son for five months now and we are both really enjoying them. It's great to have a bag of educational activities I can pull out and keep him occupied with when I need to get things done and when we are out and about. He still finds the bags quite exciting and never seems to get bored with them which is amazing considering he usually can't sit still!

Here's what's been in our bag the last six weeks or so:
1. Number magnets with fishing rods
2. Hammer and stickers: Let child put the stickers on a pillow or another soft surface and practice hitting the stickers.
3. Free Printable Alphabet Movement Flashcards from The Home Teacher
4. Paint with water book, paint brushes and cotton buds
5. Leapfrog Learning Laptop
6. Cars and felt parking lot colour mat: Match the cars to the appropriate colour
7. Alphabet Felt Board
8. Shape Collage Bag: Multicolored paper shapes and a gluestick
9. Look And Find What's Different Book and a magnifying glass
10. Sensory Boards

  1. I LOVE this idea. It is so hard sometimes to entertain a 3 year old for a period of time. Love the idea of the stickers and the hammer. Gonna "steal" that one! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I like the look of the alphabet felt board; I've been thinking about making some sort of felt book or something, thanks for the ideas ;)

  3. All such great ideas, love the sticker/hammer activity. Brilliant!

  4. Thanks for linking up! I'll be featuring this on my blog on Saturday!

    Sumo :)

  5. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm always looking for new things to put in my purse for my daughter to play with. I really like the movement cards and the Alphabet board. So cute!

  6. Your busy bag idea is great. I'm always trying to find ways to keep my three year old entertained. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Great ideas - I love the mystery of it - not knowing what's going to be in the bag. The colour matching cars game is lovely, actually they're all lovely!

  8. I've been slowly collecting over the last few weeks items for a busy bag for my almost 2 year old niece, it's amazing how many great little things there are out there! I'd love to include the magnet game, though I think she's still a bit on the young side for that one. Maybe next year!

  9. I love the sticker and hammer idea and would love to know where your felt letters came from.

  10. I love this idea! I hope my son takes to it as much as yours did.
I am a fairly new follower and am loving every minute of it :-)

  11. What a fun toddler bag! A great idea, I could use this for when my in laws watch mine. Thanks for linking up to Topsy Turvy Tuesday's.

  12. I would really like to know where the felt letters came from as well. I loved the feltboard ideas from the 3rd installment as well.

  13. I would really like to know where the feltboard & pieces came from as well. I'm putting together quiet activities for 2 of my busy boys for church services that we don't have Children's church for. :) Thanks for some great ideas.
