Why Don't Friends WIth Kids Have Time?

A friend of mine recently posted this article on Facebook and I loved it so much I wanted to share it with you. It is written by Carolyn Hax of The Washington Post.

Too funny! Hope I gave you a good laugh this morning. Happy Hump Day everyone!

  1. LOL...too funny! I have often asked why can't people accomplish as much as me. I stay home with 2 children and can please everyone's needs plus my own, but then I remember that Moms go 120% all the time, and I have yet to learn how to turn off all that go. :)

  2. Hahaha! That's great. I've actually had the opposite happen to me. My younger sister and I used to be the best of friends and then after I had my second child she disappeared. She never calls me anymore, never comes by, and never answers the phone when I call. I did notice that the last time I asked her to come by that I really didn't get to sit down and chat with her because she can really only come by in the evening after work, which is work time for me. The whole time she was here I was making supper while trying to keep the kids out of the kitchen, but yet close enough to keep an eye on them; feeding them; giving each one a bath and doing our nightly grooming sessions; and then I had to read bed time stories and then put them both to sleep. I was worn out when it was all said and done. As soon as I was finished doing all of that she left. She's pregnant now and I can't wait for her to experience what I've been going through.

  12. This is just soooo true! I'm going to memorize that article and recite it every time I get complained at that I never have time to "go out" with my child-less friends.
    So well put! Love it.
