I've been working on a family memory game for my son for what seems like forever! A week without internet and I am happy to say that I have finally finished. I've called this game "Peek-A-Boo I Love You".
The front of the card says "Peek-A-Boo" and the back contains a photo of my son and a family member. It also says "(name of family member) loves you." I printed the picture side out on white paper and the front on green construction paper (K's favorite color). I then cut them out, glued them together and laminated. Here is the final result:
(Sorry about the bad photo quality). We're having a rainy winter here in Sydney and my house lacks any form of natural light. I'll try and get some better photos up when the sun comes out! :)
So what do you think? I think they turned out great and K loves them. He's still trying to figure out the memory game rules but loves looking at the photos.
I'm thinking of setting up an Etsy shop and selling the document to make your own set. Please let me know if you are interested.

How fun! Such a great idea to laminate them so little fingers can't hurt them. Great project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI just love those. I saw a similar version somewhere and have wanting to make them. I really like how yours has a picture of your child with the family member instead of the family member alone...those are so great.
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! And then we could avoid those embarrasing moments when we see family members and Adam doesn't remember their names!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love that!

I love this idea. Our families live interstate (with my sister-in-law living overseas), and this is a fantastic, fun way to keep their names and pictures in my son's memory. Excellent!
