My son is only 17 months old & I really don't like the idea of filling his Easter basket (or his Chrismas stocking) with candy & chocolate. I'll probably get lazy when he's older but while he is little I really like the idea of giving him things that I've made for him or things that he can use/ play with over the next year.
Here's some really great ideas from all over the blogosphere:

Make a Chenille Easter Bunny Softie with Karunui
Make bathtub crayons with One Crafty Place
Make a photobook out of felt with Through The Keyhole
Make a fold up crayon pouch with Craftzine

Make bunny bean bags with Two Straight Lines
Make egg shaped chalk with Skip To My Lou
Make Eye Spy bags with Make It And Love It

ReplyDeleteThanks for featuring my cape. Some great finds too!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going the "less" candy route this year, too. The last trip to the dentist did not bare good news. :( I always love to give them new holiday books. This year, their baskets have flip flops, little note books, pens, headbands, and SUGARLESS gum and a few other fun finds! Great ideas!

Those bunny bean bags are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI used to fill those plastic eggs with cereal. Now that my children are a little older, they expect candy, *sigh*.
