In honour of Valentines day I Heart Faces wants to know the most romantic or magical place you have ever been. I've been lucky enough to have seen a lot of beautiful places in the past decade and I thought it would be nice to share them with you. Here they are:
Staying in your own bungalow on a desolate beach with your own tree swing:
Paradise (A.K.A Lonely Beach, Koh Chang, Thailand)
Practicing Korean Buddhist Meditation, being surrounded by inspiring people & drinking tea is good for the soul. It's magical:
Suseonjae Meditation & Teahouse
Insadong, Seoul, South Korea
Picnics, fresh air & good conversation with family:
Sheep River Falls, Alberta, Canada
There is no better place to do yoga than on the beach at sunset with your friends:
Spending precious time at home playing with my son:
Sydney, Australia
I think there must be cherry blossoms like these in heaven:
South Korea in April
Getting naked, soaking & steaming at the Jimjilbong (Korean sauna) is relaxing, liberating & scarily addicting:
South Korea
Rice paper lanterns hanging everywhere during Buddhas birthday celebration:
They sky is lit up from rice paper lanterns and the waterways twinkle with kratongs during Thailands most romantic festival:
Thailand during Loy Kratong
Leaving a wish in a Kyoto Temple for others to find:
Kyoto, Japan
A field of giant sunflowers. I think there must be fields of sunflowers like this in heaven too:
Loeburhi province, Thailand
A picture perfect postcard:
Halong Bay-Vietnam
Playing in the mud:
Mudfest, Daecheon Beach, South Korea
Climbing to the top was a challenge but what an amazing sight & exhilarating
feeling to have made it:
feeling to have made it:
The Great Wall of China-Beijing, China
With good friends in old temples:
Seoul, South Korea
Singing your heart out at the noribong (Korean Kareoke Room) solves all your problems:
Seoul, South Korea
Swimming in a waterfall, having your feet tickled by fish & your belongings stolen by monkeys:
Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Contemplating life over Ankor Wat at sunset:
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Wow, after doing this I feel so overcome with gratitude to have traveled to all of these places. I am so blessed to have photos that captured the memories & stunning beauty of them.
Where is your favorite magical, romantic or memorable place? I'd love to hear about it!

When I went home for my grandfather's funeral I felt the need to take something of New Zealand home with me, so I bought a framed photograph of Cathedral Cove. It's my favourite place on earth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Emma. I'd love to see it. Then I can dream of going there one day :)
ReplyDeleteWow. Look at all of the fantastic places you have been! I loved this picture walk thru of your travels. Beyond spectacular :) Where is the next place you are heading?
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting & for checking out my blog. I'm not planning on doing much traveling in the near future except for traveling back to Canada to visit family in the summer. I wish it wasn't so expensive or difficult to travel with a toddler! I'd be globe trotting with him if I could! :)
